Current Status and Support During the Weather Event

Above everything else, safety is of our staff, patients and community is paramount. If unsafe to do so, please stay home and notify us as outlined below.

Business as Usual

Despite the weather conditions, Mackay Private Hospital will continue to operate as normal. This includes all admissions, day programs, and private practice. We are committed to providing uninterrupted care and services to our community.

Staffing

Your safety is our top priority. If road conditions prevent you from travelling, please prioritise your safety and notify your manager as early as possible if you are unable to attend your shift. We understand the difficulties posed by the weather and appreciate your cooperation.

Patient Safety & Rescheduling

Patients are encouraged to prioritise their safety above all else. If you are unable to attend an appointment, program, or admission due to the weather conditions, please contact the hospital to reschedule. There will be no penalties for rescheduling due to these circumstances.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

We recognise that significant weather events can have a profound impact on mental health. As a healthcare provider, we are dedicated to supporting both our community and our team. Please check in with your colleagues and remember that EAP resources are available.
