We are committed to delivering high quality, comprehensive medical and rehabilitation services to get you back on your feet, sooner.
Our hospital delivers a range inpatient services supported by the latest technology and access to allied health services.
The multidisciplinary rehabilitation team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, OTs and Allied Health Assistants, will work with you to develop goals that will help you return to the life that you are wanting to lead.
Being a part of the rehabilitation ward requires you to participate in a minimum of 2 sessions a day of up to an hour with members of the allied health team. This can be a mix of one on one therapy or in a group setting. Nursing staff will work with you to get you up, showered and dressed ready to start therapy by 9.00am. The multidisciplinary team meet together every week and discuss your goals and progress to ensure that you are being helped toward your goals and to plan the next stage of your rehabilitation journey, including discharge planning.
We deliver comprehensive rehabilitation programs to improve patient outcomes and functional independence.

Following joint replacement, surgery after fracture, or severe cases of osteoarthritis it is normal to experience a decline in function and self confidence. Our orthopaedic program is designed not only to prevent this decline, but improve your capacity beyond your previous limitations.
If you have trouble with your knees, hips, back, following surgery, or any another orthopaedic condition that is negatively effecting your activities of daily life, Mackay Private Hospital's orthopaedic rehabilitation team will help get you back in shape.
Preventing functional decline and improving physical capacity following significant medical illness (or general surgery) will ensure you retain the ability to manage safely in your own residence, and reduce the risk of further admission into hospital.
At Mackay Private Hospital we understand that many different circumstances can lead to a decline in an individual's physical function, and their ability to cope in their own environment. As we age it is extremely common to experience increasing trouble recovering following general surgery, or medical illness such as urinary tract infection, cellulitis, or even just a cold or flu.
The rehabilitation team are well aware of these issues, and also how to treat and prevent them. We'll help you return to your own home, and reduce risk of further deterioration, as quickly and as safely as possible.
