Mackay Private Hospital's Falls and Balance Program offers a structured and personalised approach to help you overcome these life altering conditions.

Program content

  • Two education sessions and an exercise component per visit
  • Our Falls Prevention program focuses on improving ankle flexibility, lower limb strength and challenges participants' balance and stability. 

 

What you will experience

Patients will gain confidence with walking and preventing falls. After an initial consultation and assessment, patients will be encouraged to commit to at least 10 sessions. At the conclusion of the sessions patients will have another consultation to re-assess balance scores.

How to get started

Patients interested in attending this program are required to obtain a referral from a GP or treating specialist to Mackay Private Hospital. DVA and Workcover referrals are also accepted.
