In the interests of our patients, visitors and staff, visiting hours at Mackay Private Hospital are:
If you are visiting a patient in twin share accommodation, visits are to be conducted in common areas. In consideration of all patients and visitors, please be mindful of noise levels when using our common areas.
All patients admitted to hospital agree to attend our group programs, therefore visits during program times are not allowed. As this is a contractual agreement, non-attendance is permitted only under exceptional circumstances, and with authorisation from the patient's treating Psychiatrist.
Children are welcome at Mackay Private Hospital but must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Our hospital allows 2 visitors per patient during hospital visiting hours.
If you have any questions regarding current visiting hours, we recommend you contact our hospital directly to confirm visitation rules and visiting hours before leaving home.
At Mackay Private Hospital we are committed to providing high-quality health care services. We value the safety and well-being of our team, patients and visitors, and we recognise that incidents of aggressive or abusive behaviour can compromise the quality of care we provide.
Our Zero Tolerance Policy ensures all our staff are treated with courtesy and respect. Please be aware that any real or threatened abuse towards our staff or others in the hospital will not be tolerated.’
